Data Model

MyNODC data model was developed at the initial phase of the project to aid the design of the database. Since spatial data for this project is basically the oceanographic surveyed data that has the unique characteristic which differs from the management of land-based spatial data, it needs special method to manage it correctly. With the consideration of spatial correctness as well as the spatial-temporal data and the reference from ESRI Arc Marine, a data model that suits regional condition was produced as the main framework of MyNODC.

Besides the unique properties of oceanographic data, this data model also developed with integration of SDI element such as human resource, technology, standard, policies and data.
